|Alan MacLeod Jr., President, Director|
A second generation funeral director, Al started working part-time with his dad, Alan MacLeod Sr. at Ettinger Funeral Home as a teenager. He graduated from the Funeral Services Program at the Kingstec Campus, NSCC in Kentville in 1994 and launched his career later that year on his father’s 50th birthday, September 12. He completed his apprenticeship and earned his Funeral Director and Embalmer’s licences in 1996. Al and his father purchased Ettinger Funeral Home on September 12, 2013. He is proud to be a small business owner but he feels that the training he received while the firm was corporately owned helps him to see things from a broader perspective. Al is currently the chairman of the Shubenacadie Community Development Association.
Al and his wife Kelly live in Shubenacadie East. He is the proud father of Holly, Ben and Jack. He enjoys carpentry work and spending time with his young family.
|Glenda Cole, CFSP, Vice-President, Director|
Glenda is a graduate of the Funeral Service Program at NSCC Kingstec Campus, class of 2012. Glenda started working in Funeral Service in 2006 at McArthur Bros. & MacNeil Funeral Home in Cornwall, Ontario, first as a Funeral Director Assistant, then as a Funeral Director Apprentice to F.X. Curry. In 2010 Glenda and her husband Don returned to Nova Scotia where she continued her apprenticeship with Daniel Monk at Rowlings Funeral Home, Musquodoboit Harbour. A Licensed Funeral Director since 2011, she is employed with Atlantic Funeral Homes in their Dartmouth Chapel. Glenda joined the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice in December 2012 and has successfully earned her Certified Funeral Service Practitioner designation in November 2013. Glenda is a past president of FSANS in 2016 - 2017. She was a member of the Life Bundling Project Bereavement Advisory Group with Dept. of Vital Statistics; she is involved in her community.

Glenn is a graduate of East Pictou Rural High School, St. F X University, and Kingstec Community College. He began working at McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou in 1990. In 1997, he and his wife Michelle, purchased the business. Glenn and Michelle have two children and a grandson.
|Andrew MacDiarmid, Director|
Andrew is a second generation funeral director who has been working in the profession for over 20 years. An Oxford native, he enjoys serving families in the greater community of Northern Nova Scotia, through his three businesses, MacDiarmid's Funeral Home in Oxford, Mundle's Funeral Home in Pugwash and Coulter's Funeral Home in Tatamagouche. He is a family man who enjoys being with his wife, Leta, daughters, Rachel and Marlee.

A first generation Funeral Director, John began in the funeral profession during his final year of high school, and in 1999 founded J.F. Greene Funeral Services Limited ; obtaining his professional license in 2000. John has served as President of the Funeral Service Association of Canada and has served as President of the Funeral Service Association of Nova Scotia (2004-05) and General Chair of the Atlantic Provinces Funeral Director and Service Convention in 2007. Outside of his professional obligations John is a Volunteer Firefighter and currently serves as Secretary and Treasurer of the Port Hastings Volunteer Fire Department. John is a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, Port Hawkesbury and serves on the Parish Cemetery Committee and is a past chair of the Parish Pastoral Council.

Andrew Huskilson, is a fifth generation funeral director in his family business . Andrew is a graduate of Acadia University and the NSCC Kingstec Funeral and Allied Health Services Program. He became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 2006. He and his wife Jennie, who also works with the funeral home, along with their son Ryan, make their home in Shelburne
|E. Bruce Varner, Director|
A second generation funeral director, Bruce graduated from the Funeral Services Program, Nova Scotia Community College, Kingstec Campus. in 1997. After graduation, Bruce worked at Mahone ~ New Germany Funeral Homes and in 1998 joined Atlantic Funeral Homes in Dartmouth, Halifax and Lower Sackville. He received his Embalmer and Funeral Director licenses in 1999. In November 2007, Bruce joined Mattatall Funeral Home and is thrilled to be back in his hometown. Bruce attends McCulloch United Church, where he is their pianist and choir director and also fills in as pianist, organist and pulpit supply at other area churches. In his spare time, Bruce enjoys playing the piano, cooking, bowling on a weekly league and spending time at the cottage.
